The places we live fascinate me. Not just the idyllic portrayals we see on Pinterest, but the authentic habitats of my fellow human beings. During the pandemic I began focusing on my own home and the spaces I inhabited. This introspection sparked my creativity, leading me to craft paintings that celebrated these spaces—spaces that yearned for acknowledgement, yet are often taken for granted. We utilize our bathrooms and hallways and we gather in the kitchens, living rooms, and dining areas, but do we pause to observe and appreciate the myriad of elements that compose these familiar havens?
