This piece began with a vision of flight and freedom. The piece sat, for months, with only the tightrope and woman flying through the air. Thinking often throughout this process of my mother's passing in 2021, I wanted the image to portray a sense of freedom and flight and letting go, rather than fear. That is when I added the flowers, bird, and feathers. This piece is about death. Tiny deaths and big death. Transitions don't always have to be scary ... we can choose instead to let go and fly.
