Artist Statement
In her work she grapples with the dysmorphia of identity by capturing loved ones in moments of intimacy and closeness. By doing this she challenges the concept of identity as a self-defining marker and instead highlights individual experience, strength, emotion, tenderness, and affection as forms of self validation and affirmation.
