Artist Statement
My painting is a portrait of a friend of mine with his dog. Phil Adams grew up in the woods in the Northeast United States and raised exotic animals. He is an Army veteran and retired as a lineman with AT&T. Pops sits on the stoop of his cabin with his companion Ben, an Australian cattle dog (Blue Heeler).
