Artist Statement
This quilt is one of six quilts documenting the first year of sheltering in place during the COVID epidemic. Each day during that year I made one house block. Each block represents mood, weather, what was going on the world. In this one you can find Christmas, the assault on the Capital on January 6th and the Inauguration on January 20th, 2021. It was quilted by Maria Tamaoka.
