As adults, we often forget the joy and excitement of childhood experiences. Gum-ball machines were a source of entertainment growing up; you never knew what flavor or toy you may get after giving it a quarter. However, as an adult looking back on these moments can be overwhelming because things are no longer that simple or joy filled. Everyone is in such a rush to grow up until they actually do, only to find out that life isn’t always so easy and carefree like it was when we were kids playing with gum-ball machines. All we can do when we realize this is try to capture that sense of wonder wherever we can and fight the overwhelming urgency that is found in the world.
