Daniel is this lovely man I drive past almost every day as he sits at his bus stop on North San Pedro Rd, smoking, watching over the hood. I found him to be so intriguing. I was especially drawn to his unique aesthetic of burly man, always adorned with a different assortment of beads. When I met him, I was enchanted by his warm smile, kind eyes, and soft voice. He moved here from Orange County in the '70s and is retired from a local tire shop. He hops the bus almost daily to downtown San Rafael where he frequents a resale shop to buy a new set of beads. He is generous and kind and I was told that he would only give away the beads I bought him as a way to thank him. I love that.
