Artist Statement
My art practice is inspired by patterns in nature, the various places I dwell in and the stories I have been told along the way. I work from memory, dreams and my own photographs. I travelled to the White Mountains in California, where I encountered the majestic bristlecone pines. The curves of slow and intentional growth of movement of these trees expands my perspective on time, patience and resilience in challenging environments.
