Artist Statement
This painting by Linda Cosgrove features a white peacock, its ethereal beauty and striking presence set against a dramatic black background. More than simply a visual exploration of the large, classically rendered bird, this work is intricately intertwined with the mythological symbolism of Hera, the ancient Greek goddess embodying divine feminine energy.
