"Cooking Cabbage" is a video I made to document conversations that where had as part of art workshops with senior citizens in the Fruitvale District in Oakland, CA. The gatherings were held at two different senior housing sites. The workshops were intended to create art works for a cook book based on the seniors' favorite recipes. The workshops began March 2020 in the midst of the Covid 19 pandemic. These projects helped seniors stay connected to the community as we all faced a world wide quarantine. The video is a documentation of our conversations.
