Artist Statement
My current work maps estuaries and woods looking for underlying structure in the flicker of constant flux. I use shape and color to mark an open-ended moment, patterns or geometric repetition sometimes intervening to remind us that all is not what it seems. "Berkeley" was inspired by the magical trees on a rainy night on the UC Berkeley campus.
