This piece is from my latest series of paintings titled "Adventures Close to Home." Like most of the work in the series, it's based on a photograph from the vantage point of my house—my domestic background. With the time spent at home over the last few years I've gained a new and deeper sense of place and community. By focusing on the simplicity of the background I find a way to integrate myself more deeply into my world.
