My experience as an architect has led me to take in the world primarily through built forms. Once those forms have initially registered in my mind I deconstruct them into fractional or component pieces. My interest in painting them is then to re-compose the form and exploit the aesthetics and challenges presented by medium of watercolor. Playful digression from the original keeps the work fresh.
