Artist Statement
When selecting subjects to paint, I am always drawn to the light and the contrast it creates. This is true regardless of the subject matter, portraits, landscapes, cityscapes or a still life. "Hoorn Reflections" is a perfect example of the patterns the light created on the water. It's always the light that draws me in. It's what watercolor does best!
