As a self-taught artist, franblux (aka Francis Macatangay) is the epitome of raw talent, hustle, and hard work. Known as hyperrealism, franblux painstakingly creates art with exceptional attention to detail. Born and raised in Manila, Philippines, Francis came to San Francisco as a teen with his family. He always had an inherent love of art, but never pursued it - until now. Since COVID, he has completed dozens of hyper realistic pieces and commissions. His work is shaped by his love of design, architecture, street culture - even the name franblux is an ode to the street where he lived in SOMA with his wife and son. franblux loves his craft and wants to share it with the world.
