As a photographer, I seek a different perspective for my work. This photo captures the often unobserved beauty of a flower. While many photographers concentrate on larger subjects, I focus on the small, most often missed aspects. This approach opens up a whole new world to explore and view. By use of creative lighting and a macro lens, the seldom noticed microworld around us opens widely for all to see and enjoy. In this image, I use backlighting from a strong white light to provide illumination. As such I was able to create a lovely, vibrant image by filtering white light from behind and through the petals to provide details of the flower with a unique view.
