Ruth Bader Ginsburg spent her entire life fighting for the rights of minorities, especially for women. I love that she didn’t just fight for her beliefs, but she did so with civility and respect, as evidenced by her close friendship with Justice Antonin Scalia. Their relationship transcended even the importance of votes. She not only taught us how to fight passionately, but to maintain a sense of dignity and a connection with others in the fight. This piece speaks to that connection, as it is hand cut from a single sheet of paper using a scalpel. All the parts need to connect so it doesn’t fall apart.
