My photographs are formally linked by the many visual elements and textures of broken structure and interiors, but ultimately this work is more explicitly concerned with the intersection of place, memory, and social context. Combining aesthetic forms with social history as a way of interpreting the past, my images invoke the role of memory, the role of the artifacts around us, and the inescapable impermanence of our human-made world.
