Artist Statement
My graphite drawings of open ocean surfaces explore the ideas of vastness, spaciousness and unboundedness, using the most simple of materials—pencil and paper—to create a highly complex surface. The process of creating them is a meditative one, and they are meant to evoke an infinite, contemplative space.
