This portrait was painted shortly after the birth of our third daughter, and attempted to capture the color and chaos of our lives, then and now. There are multiple approaches to paint application across the surface of the painting, creating a rich topography of patterns and textures, all working together to form the image as whole, yet still clashing with one another within the confines of the art object.
