Artist Statement
My work is largely autobiographically referential, using embodied weaving and cloth as a form of storytelling, mapping and abstracting the lived experience. Through the translucent silky gauze of bodily knit forms, disintegrating patterns and structured weaves I translate the tensions of life into my pieces. These creations of vivid beauty are my responses to experiences of grief, addiction, recovery and memory, and a celebration in resiliency.
