Artist Statement
I strive to give shape to the human experience hidden in shadow.
What do I long for, fear, label with shame? What cracks me open? What do I love? My work invokes, initiates, and invites exploration into the depths of the human psyche.
I tell stories of fierce beauty through the captivating power of nature and the enigmatic presence of the female form - awakening a sense of curiosity and reverence, while recalling our fragile impermanence in the greater cyclical nature of existence
Through cast shadow, paper silhouette, and stitched details, I create a visual language that invites the viewer on a journey to embrace vulnerability and find solace in the untold stories that connect us all.
