Artist Statement
The title "Reminisce Over You" is the name of a song from old school hip hop group C.L. Smooth & Pete Rock. The song was playing on repeat in my studio as I was creating this piece which gave the painting a vibe or attitude. The painting itself is a study of texture and high contrast as I wanted to portray the subject as a fashionable character wearing a bright pink fur coat over a jeweled necklace.
