Artist Statement
The main purpose is to pay respect to old industrial structures, their raw hand-built qualities and materials, and the beauty of their functional aspects. This piece was inspired by a Finnish silo built in the 17th century, dilapidated buildings in Sonoma County, the beauty of the things we pass by that are not meant for aesthetics but for function.
