I am inspired by the seemingly contradictory yet harmoniously complementary characteristics of the Silicon Valley – the combination of unique natural beauty and cutting-edge technology. My work offers a collection of vistas and landscapes previously explored. When approaching these artificial landscapes, viewers simultaneously encounter their own likeness along with the surrounding environment, juxtaposing the micro with the macro. Working with elaborate hand-painted colorful plexiglass and mirror at a large scale gives me the opportunity to play with illusion and perspective to creating shimmering atmospheres that evoke ephemeral moments and explores an intersection of the natural world.
