“Allegretto” reflects my emotions at the time it was produced. Working with a limited palette and large format gave me an overwhelming feeling to expand in space and minimize the variations in tones (or notes). My energy level increased and created a sense of rhythm and freedom to draw unusual, curvilinear marks searching for what resonates. In my unconscious altered mind state, good and bad thoughts from my past emerged. My actions evolved intuitively. At the end of the workday, I found myself in a state of warm tranquility and a return to the mundane. The journey to produce artwork is the joy of my life.
