Searching for Democracy is an "Act of Civil Obedience." I publicly scribe each word of the Constitution with a handmade quill pen onto a collection of 50 money bags discarded from banks during this recent Great Recession of 2008. I am enacting this writing in public parks and streets to gather and engage the public in a dialog about the importance of reading and understanding our Constitution. By scribing on money bags, I call attention to the influence that financial interests have on our elections, legislation and Constitutional interpretation.
