Artist Statement
There are layers of stories to be found in refuse, trash, and debris. The cardboard debris assembled for the assemblage shown in this art exhibit was derived from mounds of packaging I collected during the Covid Pandemic. I find beauty in the natural tones of cardboard, its pliability, and its growing richness as it ages. Many stories about the Covid Pandemic can be found in the boxes and bits of cardboard I gathered. My explorations of cardboard waste may draw you in and make you wonder at the stories held within these materials.
