Nicole Phungrasamee Fein has spent decades exploring the flow of water in her “water drawings.” In the face of increasingly extreme weather conditions, she examines the cycle of water with a new medium in her Weather series. Each work begins with a photograph of clouds that is translated into a hand-colored, halftone pattern of dots. The resulting interaction of color creates dense yet ethereal skyscapes.
