This is the Milk Farm restaurant in Dixon, California, as it appeared in 1963. The 100 foot tall sign (tallest such sign west of the Mississippi River when it was constructed) was a welcome landmark to many a weary traveller along highway 80, and today is all that remains on the restaurant property. As an artist I enjoy using my experience in 3D illustration, architecture, and historical research to give people a glimpse of things from our past that have been lost to progress. The cars in the parking lot are some that were owned by my parents and siblings, and are included as loving tributes to them. (Personally, I saw a lot of the USA from the back of that Pontiac Tempest wagon.)
