Artist Statement
This image "Grasping The Impossible" was captured in northwestern Mongolia during a competition between Kazakh eagle hunters. The rider, while at a full gallop, clothed in wolf fur coat, sitting astride a tiny saddle, reached down and grasped for a Mongolia coin lying in the dust. Note the other Kazakh eagle hunters with the fox and wolf fur hats and coats obsessing in the background ... all taking place in the extreme Altai Mountains, also home to the reclusive Snow Leopard.
