I have been an artist for most of my life, working in a variety of mediums, most recently, paper quilling, which I first discovered when I was seven years old. In recent years, I’ve rediscovered the art form and have stretched the boundaries of traditional techniques to create intricate three-dimensional works of art. Incorporating my skills as a graphic designer and watercolor artist, I often integrate gicleé prints of my own paintings as well as surface pattern designs in my work, either as background elements, or as custom-printed and cut strips. Another unique feature of my work is the incorporation of seed beads and other found objects.
