Artist Statement
I created this painting during Covid-19 quarantine out of a pervasive loneliness that lingered within myself and many others. I remembered all of the beautiful things about life that felt just out of reach. I knew them so well but could not experience them at that time and "La Fille en Bleu" was a way to reconnect with that aspect of life and restore a bit of color to my world.
