My paintings are creations of theatrical entanglements between human culture and the natural world. Events I envision in a quasi-utopian landscape. People, flora, and fauna populate the imaginary countryside as life forms in contemplative engagement with indiscernible tasks. It is a repair work activity. The troupe of life forms connect as a broad social commentary of related social histories. Ageism which discriminates against seniors like myself based on our aging bodies. Sexism and the stereotypical portrayal of women in art. The tragic neglect of responsible stewardship for the environment. My artwork probes reflective conversation about the mindscape of current culture.
