Artist Statement
"Restore #7" is one of a series of paintings that conveys agency and empowerment in one’s life from the daily practice of taking time to reflect.
Clare is drawn to creating images that express beauty, strength and sensuality of the human figure. Intriguing composition, form and use of color are elements that are thoughtfully employed to achieve the vibrant energy that she aspires to convey. She subscribes to the concept “less is more,” which allows space for the viewer to be a co-creator if so inclined.
Clare's young-adult daughter is often the model for her paintings.
