I'm a visual artist using acrylic paint to create colorful 2-dimensional paintings. I combine traditional folk art shapes and patterns with ancient Egyptian/Kemetic Hieroglyphs to create a tapestry of symbolic images woven together telling stories of African achievements.
My stylized ancient symbols form energetic and rhythmic compositions that construct abstractions, shapes, and sacred geometry, as well as depictions of historical deities. I refer to it as "Egyptian Wonderland," hieroglyphic folklore.
My artwork is a celebration of the accomplishments of African/Egyptian history. Honoring the fantastic spiritual creation stories from the dawn of four civilization.
