“Grandma's Kitchen" is a portrait (landscape?) of my grandma's kitchen. When my grandma passed I wanted to apply paint to an idea that reconnect me to memories of her. I did not want a simple portrait to do that. Somehow with this image of her kitchen I can almost hear her voice and the radio playing, a cockatiel squawking and the dog nearby. The little backyard is just outside the window and cousins are next door.
