The kidney bean pool is one of 10 illustrations exploring the duality of language between food and architecture. The idea emerged after realizing that some architectural features are named after foods simply because they share similarities in their physical appearance; such as popcorn ceiling being named "popcorn" because of its bumpy texture. Realizing this connection existed resulted in silly puns and even sillier sketches. "Kidney Bean Pool" pays homage to the iconic kidney-shaped pool aptly named after the organic curves of its edible counterpart. Yum!
