Artist Statement
I wanted to create a painting that could be hung or viewed from any direction, I like this play-fullness, that the way it is hung doesn't matter. But the way you hang it changes the meaning of it, the figure can be flying, or in a free fall - either way, tilt your head a bit and you change the connotation of it. Life feels like that a lot of the time, take a bad situation, look at a different way and I think you can always find the good that lingers at the edges.
