Every moment, I recognize myself as a stranger through the exotic landscape of trees scattered on a dry desert-like meadow.
Like traffic cones that have not been put away and rolled on the highway, insignificant beings of anonymity are evoked as another image of myself.
As I grew up on a rural beach in East Asia, so in language, culture, and appearance, I am a stranger living on this land, California.
This stranger reminisces about childhood, holding memories of the sea.
