Artist Statement
Pipo is a "pre-primitive allegorical Cuban painter" whose work touches on the sites, scenes, myths, and memories of his long lost homeland of Cuba. The current piece, "Paraiso Perdido con Perro, Pina, y Pelota," translates to "Lost Paradise with Dog, Pineapple, and Baseball" and features vignettes of "home" in Havana in the 1950s.
