Artist Statement
Art is therapy and so is nature. This piece was inspired by a walk with friends along the bluffs in Wilder Ranch, Santa Cruz. The duality of art and nature is repeated in the media used, cold wax and oil paint. This piece was also created with no brushes, just squeegees and palette knives, a more "natural" and sculptural process than traditional brushwork.
