Artist Statement
My landscapes are inventions based on places near home. They are a kind of experiment in feeling based mostly on literal observation. As artists, we all have limitations, and I try to surpass my own technical abilities at the given moment by capturing the emotional content I experience when being in natural places and when immersed in the painting process in the studio.
