In my painting portraying the biblical story of Judith and Holofernes, I delve into the profound themes of cruelty, mortality, and the burdensome choices we confront. By capturing the raw emotions that accompany such harrowing circumstances, I aim to evoke contemplation about the fragility of life. The intentional inclusion of depictions of cruelty and death serves to emphasize the immense weight of Judith's choices.
