Artist Statement
Designed as a meditation space in the metaverse, this work is a physical representation of an architectural space originally designed to be experienced virtually. Inspired by the works of Étienne-Louis Boullée, its grand scale and bold geometric form invites visitors to focus on a singular object larger than themselves, producing effects of monumentality, weight, and focus. Organized internally as a vertical sequence of ascending platforms, each space orients the viewer towards unique focal points which pull in tension to distort the building's outer geometry.
